Shore Drive, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at his home. He was born October 11, 1926 in Yadkin County to the late French and Maggie Reynolds Shore. Mr. Shore was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He worked as a farmer and carpenter all of his life. Mr. Shore was a friend to everyone and loved helping anyone in any way possible. At an older age, Mr. Shore accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was a faithful, devoted member of South Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Yadkinville. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Flora S. Phillips and three brothers, Ray Shore, Ford Shore, and Raymond Shore. Surviving are his brothers, Linney Shore, Hobert Shore, Herbert Shore, and wife, Polly, all of Yadkinville; sister-in-law, Lydia B. Shore, Mocksville; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Gentry Family Funeral Service ! in Yadkinville. His Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 in the Gentry Family Chapel by Dr. Phil Beavers and the Rev. Chris Hauser. Burial will follow in the South Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors by Yadkin VFW Post 10346. Mr. Shore requested that no floral arrangements be sent, but instead for memorials to be made to either South Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, or to South Oak Ridge Baptist Church Youth Fund, Lone Hickory Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055. online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneral service.com.
