He was born June 29, 1941 in Yadkin County to the late Henry Jackson & Ethel Calloway Hemric. Mr. Hemric was a retired farmer and was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother Samuel Jackson Hemric, two brothers-in-law Ted Settle, and George Dexter Blackburn. Surviving are his wife Kathy Gilliam Hemric, of the home; two daughters Sammi (Kenneth) Stone, Hamptonville; Cindy Hemric, Yadkinville; two grandsons Samuel and Henry Stone; two sisters Lorene Settle, Vonda Blackburn (Jack Gallimore) ; a brother Gilbert (Caroline) Hemric; several special nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday June 26, 2010 at Gentry Family Funeral service in Jonesville. A graveside service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Sunday June 27, 2010 at the Hemric Family Cemetery on Hemric Mountain by the Rev. Dennis Bell and Rev. Michael Snel! grove.
