He was born August 19, 1939 to the late Melvin and Ella Day Church. Mr. Church was a retired self employed Motor grader operator. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Josephine Church; two brothers Clyde Church, Edward Church. Surviving are his wife Miranda Kay Church, of the home; his children Delma Richard Church, Jr. of the home; Bobby Dale Church, Hamptonville; Penny (Larry) Hamby, Hamptonville; grand children Hayden Foster, Mayson Foster; step-grandchild Justin Hamby; four sisters Lessie Blevins, Barbara Brumfield, Minnie Gordon and Elaine (Walt) Johnson; two brothers Gilbert (Mary) Church and Elbert (Dorothy) Church; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. June 4, 2010 at Gentry !
