She was born in Yadkin County, NC on March 4, 1925; daughter of the late Dewey and Emma Wood Day. She was of the baptist faith. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 2 p.m. from Mackie Sinclair Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Harold Dean Chandler of Believers Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Yadkin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Survivors include her husband, Warren G. Harding Felts of the home; two sons, Dennis Felts (Eyvonne) and Roger Felts (Kathy), all of Yadkinville; two brothers, Tom Day, (Peggy) of Boonville and Dewey Day (Ardell) of King; four sisters, Hazel Shermer of Boonville, Doris Wilkins of King, Margie Faw of Pfafftown and Pat Sizemore (Larry) of Jonesville; two grandchildren, Denise Cockerham (Allen) and Teresa Felts and fiance, (Gra! nt Trivette); step-granddaughter, Tanya Athan and step-great-granddaughter, Hannah Athan. Juanita was preceded in death by her father and mother; step mother, Martha Walker Day; a sister, Bonnie Barreto; and a brother, Bill Day. A special thanks to Forsyth Hospital, Palliative Unit, Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care and Willowbrook Alzheimer unit.
