She was born February 3, 1934 in Yadkin County to the late Ernest and Muriel Johnson Myers. Barbara was an avid gardener and animal lover. Preceding her in death were her beloved husband of 52 years, John R. Reavis, Jr., and brother, Richard E. Myers. Surviving are her niece, Lisa Vawter, and husband Ralph, of Walkerton, Virginia, and a devoted friend, Dolores Wilson Kennedy, and her daughter, Grace Kennedy. Also surviving is a caring friend, Jo Moore. A private committal service is planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 1420 East Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC 28204, www.donatehospice.org.
