Nannie was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and friend who will be greatly missed. Mrs. Reece was born April 29, 1915 to the late John Wade & Myrtle Fleming Shore. She was a retired School teacher for the Yadkin County School System. Mrs. Reece was a graduate of Boonville High School and also a graduate of the Woman's College at (UNCG) in 1936. She was a member of the Boonville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy W. Reece April 9, 1956; a sister Martha Pearl Shore Martin. Surviving are her children Roy W. "Bill" (Ardith) Reece, Jr., Candor; Anne R. (John) Campbell, Pilot Mountain; Mary R. (Gale) Wooten, East Bend; Henry Wade (Kathy) Reece, Raleigh; six grandchildren Scott Reece, Todd Reece, Paul Huffman, Merisue Donovant, Pam Steelman, Mary Beth Ford; 15 Great Grandchildren; two brothers John Wade Shore, Jr., and Henry Fl! eming Shore; two special friends Clyde & Libby Wall. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday June 22, 2010 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday June 23, 2010 at Boonville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Andy Lambert. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Boonville Cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Hugh Chatham Nursing Center for the loving care given to Mrs. Reece. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Boonville United Methodist Church Capital Fund PO Box 178 Boonville, NC 27011 or to The J.
