Mrs. Styers was born June 2, 1925 in Yadkin County to John and Turnie Carter Brown. She was a member of Union Cross Baptist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Styers was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Myers; her second husband, Luther Styers; two sons, Jerry Myers and Terry Myers; a daughter, Nancy Vestal; and a granddaughter, Robin Myers. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Spillman and husband Jerry and Cindy Vestal and husband Harold, all of Yadkinville; nine grandchildren, Terry Ray Myers, Lonnie Myers, Robert Myers, Keith Vestal, Julie Callaway, Tim Johnson, Tina Johnson, Michael Allgood, and Brian Allgood; and sixteen great grandchildren.
