Frank then married Susan Joan Elkins in early manhood and they had 5 children: Alice Gertrude, Benjamin Cleveland, Herbert Layfayette, Edgar Houston(my grandfather-born 2-6-1890) and Myrtie Ann. i visited that abanded site. there is only one modern stone there and that is for Thomas Money. A couple other field stones have been transcribed.We found at least 18-20 concave places where a person had been buried and about a dozen unreadable field stones. Contact andrew mackie or ron collins and they can tell you more than i can. I was shown the location by a cousin, Joe Stokes. I am researching the family of william cheek and Rhoda Money. She was born Aug. 28, 1923, in Yadkin County to the late Charlie M. Talley Sr. and Minnie Lee Bell Talley. Mrs. Durham was a charter member of West Yadkin Baptist Church and attended while her health permitted. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Carson Durham. She leaves behind four children; three grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and two brothers to cherish her memories, including daughters Phyllis (Ralph) Moorefield of Harmony; Kathy (Tommy) Rash of Boonville; and Gail (Steve) Lineberry of Hamptonville; son Walter Dale (Vickie) Durham of Hamptonville; granddaughter Wendy Renee Rash of Winston-Salem; grandsons Charles Robert (Tammy) Moorefield of Hamptonville and Randy Scott (Toni) Moor! efield of Mocksville; great-grandsons Robert Wayne Moorefield and Carson Hunter Moorefield; godchildren Jacob Taylor Williams and Courtney Reback Williams; brothers, whom she raised from the age of 10 after her mother passed away, Charlie M. (the late Lola) Talley Jr. and Ralph L. (Beulah) Talley of Hamptonville; special niece Minnie (Perry) Chappell of Hamptonville; and special friends Drs. John and Joanie Williams, Edwina Martin and Sharon Dupree. Her funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, April 26, at West Yadkin Baptist Church in Hamptonville, with the Rev. Dennis Bell, Wendy Rash and Dr. John Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to West Yadkin Baptist Church Fund, P.O. Box 58, Hamptonville, NC 27020.
