Mr. Benton was employed with Precision Concepts in Winston-Salem and was a member of North Oak Ridge Baptist Church, and loved his family and church family. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Nancy Pruitt Moxley and Reford and Gay Holcomb Benton. Surviving are his loving parents, Vaughn and Kathy M. Benton of the home; a sister, Margaret M. (Shane) Macemore, boonville; 2 nieces, Alex Mclellan, Madison McLellan; a nephew, Jonathan Luke McLellan; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. His funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at north Oak Ridge Baptist Church by Rev. John Altizer and Rev. Perry Link. He will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service.
