The Forsyth County Genealogical Society's regular monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at 6:30 pm in the auditorium of the Main Forsyth County Library at 660 W. 5th St. in Winston-Salem, NC. Dennis E. Ogburn, PhD, Assistant Professor of Anthropology, UNC Charlotte Dept. of Anthropology will discuss "Historical and Archaeological Research on the Incas of South America". He will explore how we study the history of a group who had no written language of their own, using written documents produced after the Spanish conquest in combination with archaeological research. Some scholars have questioned whether the written accounts actually reflect actual events from Inca history, but he will show how archaeological research has in fact confirmed some of the stories recorded by the Spaniards. The meeting is free and open to the public. For more information about the Society, please see our website at www.forsythgen.org.

I have tried for years to find out why she had a Ludemia Royal in the house with her and Rezin. I have wondered if she ws married to a Royal at one time or was she boarding her or something. If you have any information on this I would really like to have it. Cranberry Albea Bell, who married Margaret Gentry on 11 June 1836 and at least two daughters, Nancy A. Bell who married James Riley Windsor ca. 1827 and Samantha (Beal) Bell born July 1817 and died 1897, married Rezin (Reason) Cash. Cranberry Albea Bell was born Oct. 22, 1813 died Oct 16, 1885, married Margaret Adelaide Gentry on June 11, 1836; She was born Dec. 7, 1815 died Aug. 12, 1908. They had nine children between 1837 and 1860 (US Census of 1850 & 1860), and are buried in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hamptonville NC Yadkin County. Zachariah Beall & wife Rebecca Tyson and their son Walter Bell/Beall, Cranberry's father, along with other family members, also the Joseph Albea family group, came from MD to Surry (Yadkin) County NC Abt.1800 down the "Old Wagon Road". There is strong evidence that Ninian Beall, Hugh Riley and later his daughter Nancy Riley who married Isaac Windsor all knew the families of each other in Maryland before coming to NC.
