I show Henry Houston Harrison, b. abt 1863, d. ???, was a son of John M. Harrison (son of William M. Harrison & Delphia Forrester) & Margaret Mackie (d/o Robert Martin & Anna Martin who were married 12-8-1817 in Surry County, Book A, page 3827). Henry married Martha Alice Holcomb 9-25-1887 in Yadkin County, she a daughter of Samuel Holcomb & Sarah Whitehead. Martha is buried at Center United Methodist Church in Yadkin County. They had several children but unknown what happened to Henry. And I've also found several errors, and omissions, of marriages in Yadkin County from Helen's book and the same can be said of Carl Hoots and Wallace Kallam's books on cemeteries too. But Helen's work is a treasure to have nonetheless. Margaret Mackie daughter of Robert and Anna is his mother. And how is it she became Harrison instead of Harris? I have found errors in her book, but this is about the biggest one I have found Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I think the website is wrong on one thing. Margaret Mackie was his mom and he married Catherine in 1900. I couldn't locate him on further census records, so you have opened a new door for me! He was married twice before. I cannot locate his first wife, but his second was Mary Loucretia Hanks. I am trying to locate the divorce record for he and Creasy, as she was called. They married in Carroll County, Va in 1899 and then he was out the door some months later back in Yadkin. Thanks again for helping me find him. If anyone ever comes across a divorce record, I would greatly appreciate it. And a photo would be a gem! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
