Thanks Martha, I have verified that this is a real virus and not a hoax. One more reason not to open exe file attachments. ____________From Martha_______________ I cut and pasted this from an e-mail sent to everyone on faculty and staff at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Take it seriously. This is one of the reasons I do not open any attachment with .exe as a suffix. New Virus: The latest virus that has hit the computing world is called PrettyPark. This is actually a worm that is a very detailed and robust program. PrettyPark comes as an executable attachment named PrettyPark.exe. The email and attachment can be received from an unknown source or from a friend/co-worker due to its ability to replicate itself through YOUR email address lists. PrettyPark.exe only activates when the ATTACHMENT is opened and not by opening the email. This program contacts an IRC channel and sends your information, including credit card information, to the writer of the program. If you receive this attachment or have opened it, contact your Tier 1 or the helpdesk immediately.
