Dont think your James Baker is the same as mine. Mine, as far as I can determine from census records was born in 1826. He married Temperrance Ellis on 21 Jan 1846 and they had seven children from 1847 to 1869. The offspring were named David, Polly, Bolin, Blake, Edwin, Sabren and Fannie, from the oldest to the youngest. James had six brothers named John, Thomas, Daniel, Richard, Henry, and Peter, and no sisters. His Father, Blake, married Nancy Barnes on 17 Jan 1825 in Edgecombe County, NC.
