Does anyone have the parents of a JOHN WHITEHEAD m. SARAH BATTS in their family tree? They are my mom's great grandparents? They were born somewhere around 1809/1810. I believe they were from Nash or Edgecombe Co.NC I know that is where John Thomas Whitehead m. Mary Ann Ruffin was from.Born in the year 1844. John was born 25 July 1844. Mary was born January 28, 1844. She died 28 November 1893. Her parents were Gray Ruffin and Nancy Bailey. He had other brothers and sisters which I have names and dates of these people. My mothers father b. 1873 was also John Thomas Whitehead. Does anyone know for sure if the first John I meantioned,born ?1809/1810; if his Father was a Matthew Whitehead?
