My interest is due to the young man, J. Robert Deans III, who is about to become my son-in-law -- and knows virtually nothing beyond his grandparents. So we have Zillah Bass (b. ca. 1849) marrying Edwin Lamm, and producing Betty . . . who was his great grandmother. As this is my first venture into NC genealogy, any help at all is most appreciated!
