I am trying to figure a Bass connection to my family who lived in the Black Creek Community of Wilson County. My grandparents, William Francis and Geneva Godwin Poythress were married at the home of Nathan Bass on October 7, 1893 Nathan Bass also signed as a witness and Black Creek is listed after his name. I know there must be some connection to the Bass family either through my grandfather's family or my grandmother's. Any clues. Jean Poythress
