This looks awfully suspicious to me too. There's no street address, phone number, name(s) of any individual, nada ... Totally anonymous. When you hit reveal source for their home page code, you find that's it's written in the simplest HTML --- implied, they spent very little time coding their page. Their links are to official government sites giving you the sense that they're sanctioned by the government. BE CAREFUL. In my experience, the reputable companies don't feel a need to hide who's behind the company. That would make me very skittish to hand these folks money, were it me. Note that I'm not saying "this is a bad guy"---I have no idea. Just that I'm not comfortable with what I know about them at this point. --pig On 7/5/08 6:19 PM, "Pam Stone" <[email protected]> wrote: > Has anyone on the list ever used _www.govtregistry.com_ > (http://www.govtregistry.com) ? There is an old saying that could be applied to this database site....."Where there is smoke, there is fire." With all the deceptive practices that occur online, I personally would NEVER join a site that hides who the people are that own it. For now, I would list it in the column titled "SCAM". Thanks, everyone. I think, from what everyone has said that is a "fake site", and not reliable. I personally will not have anything to do with this website, and I will no longer recognize or answer anyone that communicates from this site.
