He was the son of John Hall and Nancy Stamper Hall. In some ways the family is related to the Wyatt family. This is the Cenusu in Wilkes County, Mary Wyatt shows up in the census as living with Rubenand Susan Hall . she is listed as a laborer. She has two children listed (1880 Census) Wilkes County, James Wyatt and Mira Wyatt, ages 11 and 8. The next time Mary is listed is in Smyth County, VA, (1900 Census) She is listed as the wife of Nathan Hall and children and my grandfather John, Sister Oma and Sister Belle.
