Author: elisaayers66 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.northcarolina.counties.wilkes/3127.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Does anyone know if James Franklin Settle/Suttle went to Mississippi- I have been looking for James for a while- There is a Monika Poe married to an Elijah Barbee in Mississippi- The James that I am looking for was married(?) to a Sarah Barbee Johnson and died in Mississippi- the family story is that Sarah's family- the Barbee's had the Suttle family as share croppers and sponsored their trip to Ms. - the family lore has always been that James and Sarah were from England however there is absolutely NO James Franklin and Sarah in England !!!! and this is the closest connection I have been able to make. Does anyone have any information on James Franklin Settle- I read that he married Phebe Russell- but is it possible that they divorced or she died and he remarried? If these are the right people than I can give you the information on some of James' children- as I am married to his ggg grandson!
