I know that my great great great grandfather was a John Tillman (Tilman)(born in the 1820s) and married a Lucretia Fletcher in Wilkes Co. North Carolina in 1844 (I believe) and was in Hancock County Indiana in the 1850 Census (one county south of Madison)and in Madison County Indiana in the 1860 Census. I know nothing about John's sibling or parents or where they came from. In looking up Tillmans I have come across the name George Tillman and Hily Becknel and wondered how George and John may be related.
