Mrs. Holland was born March 9, 1920, in Wilkes County to Levi and Dorthula Dyer Triplett. She was a member of Lewis Fork Baptist Church. Surviving are four sons, Clyde Holland and wife Josephine, Bill Holland and wife Louise, all of North Wilkesboro, Roy Holland and wife Brenda of Lenoir, Eugene Holland and wife Jeanette of Ferguson; one brother, Albert Triplett of Greensboro; two sisters, Viola Hendrix of Lenoir, Veatrice Dyer of Ferguson; ten grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, February 25, at Lewis Fork Baptist Church with the Rev. Sherrill Wellborn, and the Rev. Horace Minton officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Lewis Fork Baptist Church,395 Lewis Fork Baptist Church Road, Purlear, NC 28665. Jeanie, I just had George McNeil send me burials on the Hollands. According to burial, George Johnson Holland b. 1880 died 1946. wife was Dora E Henderson. George Holland's mother was said to be Tennesse Holland. She had all her children out of wedlock so no one is certain who her children's father's were. Hope this helps.
