The above Hillaire Rousseau (1743-1824) married Sarah Rogers (1748-1799) who was the mother of all of his children. By 1802, he had married a widow, Elizabeth (White) Herndon, the widow of Joseph Herndon of Wilkes County, N.C., who had died in 1798. 1. Does anyone know the parents of Elizabeth White? 2. Is there a grave marker in Wilkes County for Hillare Rousseau? 3. If so, was he buried beside his first wife, Sarah? 4. Was Elizabeth Herndon buried beside Hillaire Rousseau or Joseph Herndon? 5. Is there a grave marker in Wilkes County for Joseph Herndon? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
