    3. Hi Jesse, all of the old stuff is at the NC Archives in Raleigh. If you go to the Archives website, though, you can see a detailed inventory of their holdings. It is my understanding that you have to make research requests through an independent researcher and they can provide the list. Please correct me if any of this is wrong... The Wilkes County Community College does have a great collection of old court records on microfilm also, but again, you'd probably have to hire someone to search the records and get the copies for you. I would like to order a copy of the will of Jonathan Stamper, Sr. (1719-1799) which is dated December 17, 1793. Where do I send my request to? Must I send a self addressed envelope? How much do they charge for making photocopies? Are there any volunteers who would make a trip to the Court House? > Any information would be greatly appreciated! > > Sincerely, > Jesse Stamper > > > My email address is: Leecorydon@juno.com > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to NCWILKES-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message > -- Gail Rich Nestor Smyrna, Georgia www.roots2buds.net
