Surnames: McQuinn Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/xUB.2ACE/3442.2 Message Board Post: The family history records I received from my mother states that her greatgrandmother was Frances Melvina McQuinn, born 1865 in Omaha, Nebraska. Her father was Martin van buren McQuinn, born 1835 Kentucky. His father was Marshall T McQuinn born 1804 North Carolina. His father was Braxton McQuinn. Mary Poe must of been his step-mother as he was born in 1804 in Wilkes, North Carolina. Mary would of only been age 2 according to her age in 1850 census Missouri (born 1792) If she had been born in 1783 she would of been 21 when he was born and could of been the first child. Marshall T could of been the oldest boy listed in the 1820 census of Floyd Co Kentucky with mother listed as age 26 to 45. However the 1800 Census listed Braxton's wife as beening over 45 with 4 children. I have run across a Braxton Mcquinn Francisco born 27 oct 1848 in Scott Co, Virginia. Was hoping to find Braxton's daughter listed in the 1800 Census (born between 1790 and 1800) as maybe the mother or grandmother to this Braxton, but their records seem to be complete and I cannot see any connection.
