    2. I remember that one of the Church family marriages was in Carter County, Tennessee, which was apparently quite close to Wilkes County of that time. I'm not sure that Carter County, Tennessee and Wilkes County, North Carolina were not different names for the same real estate at one point in time. This particular pair were married in 1829.
