My earliest Cox relative is a John Cox, of Greenville Co. SC. On the 1850 census John states he was born in NC. I estimate between 1780 and 1790. I have DNA results that match two other Cox's. All three of us trace our lines back to NC. One of us has Wilkes Co. as where Matthew cox (1735-1804) died, his son Braxton Cox (1781-1856), lived for a while and where Braxton's son Sampson was born in 1807. I would very much like to contact others with links to the Wilkes Co. Cox's
