Dear Carolyn: Thanks for your note about the Johnson reunion. I wish I had some clue that my Johnsons were tied in with any of the lines you mentioned, but alas, nothing in your note resonates with my research. My ancestor was Parmanus (various spellings) Johnson (1788-1853). His son was Nimrod Johnson (1807-1864). Both are buried in Gibson County, TN. Parmanus was supposedly born in VA and Nimrod in NC. Both eventually migrated through Davidson County, TN, to Marshall County, TN, and finally to Gibson County, TN. From sketchy evidence, I have deduced that there were two Parmanus Johnsons, one the son of Charles Johnson in Wilkes County and the other the son of Thomas Johnson in Granville County. But that's where the trial ends, so far at least. If you uncover any info that might tie our lines together, I would be delighted to "brain-storm" with you.
