A DNA match has been made for John Hagins/Higgins of Wilkes Co., NC, and Thomas Hagans of Rowan/Davie Co., NC. John Hagins was in Wilkes Co., in 1790. In 1800 he was listed as John Hagens, and in 1810 as John Higgins. He married Fannie Baugess. Now we're looking for the following people from the 1800 census in Wilkes Co. Betsy Hagens age 45+ with 2 females 10-15 and 1 male under 10. Mary Hagens age 16-25 with 1 female & 1 male age 10-15, and 1 female & 2 males under 10. In 1810 there was a Mary Higgans in Wilkesborough age 45+ with several children, and an Elizabeth Haggans age 26-44 with 1 male under 10. A search of probate records on microfilm turned up no records for these families. Any clues would be appreciated.
