Just got into this Ancestry hobby the first of the year! One of Joel & Nancy(Porter) Soots' sons, William F. Soots - (b.Dec1837), married Nancy ? - (b.Apr 1836;m.1856), was My ancestry line. He had a son, my g-grandpa, named Joel Soots - (b.Abt 1857,d.Before 1910). He married Elizabeth "Betsy" Ann Walker - (b.Dec 1862). My grandpa was Harrison C. Soots-(b.28 Dec 1888-Wilkes County;d.11 Feb 1977. Married Ada Fletcher. My father was Joel Lee Soots - (b.18 Dec 1935 m.28 Sep 1956, to Rosa Lee Adams,-(b.15 Dec 1935). My father died 30 May 2003. My brother is Joel Lee Soots, jr. - (b.15 Feb 1965). I'm just trying to fill in the missing links, until I find out which Soots traveled across the sea! Thanks, EARL J.
