On a related subject. In searching for family members in the 1800 Wilkes County census, it appears that the census is incomplete. For example, in looking for my Kerbys I note that there are only 18 surnames ending in "K" in the 1800 census, while there were many more in both the 1790 and 1810 census. Does anyone know if this census is complete or not? ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, November 29, 2007 3:00 AM Subject: NCWILKES Digest, Vol 2, Issue 254 > > > Today's Topics: > > 1. I notice your post about the census and that you are looking for Kerby's. I also have Kerby's from NC. My earliest record is a Morgan Kerby, b. 1810 in NC, and then he moved to N. GA in the 1830's. I have been trying to find his parents, with no luck. What Keryb's do you have?
