I would appreciate any leads to the descendents of this family. Joel Cox (1824-1864) m Nancy Adkins (1825-1900+) about 1843 in Wilkes Co. Had at least 5 children: Elizabeth (a 1844), Andy Harrison (a1846), Charlotte (a1852-1930), John (1855), and Alfred (possibly Thomas Alfred) born about 1860. Especially interested in Elizabeth who is believed to have married Thomas Johnson and had sons Andy H. and James S. Would like to find info and any possible old cemeteries for these families. Found Joel & family in census starting 1860 but can't find them in 1850. Any help with these family lines would be greatly appreciated. Linda, Do you by any chance know who Thomas Johnson's parents were or when he was born? I have a Johnson line that goes back to Jeffery and Rachel Johnson,so will have to see if any of these Johnsons had a son named Thomas.
