Nina, Thank you so much for your insight into Mrs Abbott. I have not been able to find a copy of her book as yet. Wilkes co Librrary copied and mailed to me some pages, mostly the beginning of each chapter. It does give an overview of the families of John Thomas and Richard. I wish we could have dna testing done on each branch of that tree to see if they fall in the same family tree. I too have wet macular degeneration and have had Avastin. I wanted Lucentis except that my insurance won't pay for it as yet. I also have Occular Histoplasmosis and Lucentis has not been approved for that as yet. I can still read my computer screen as long as I get enough light on it and the keyboard. I've had i shot of Avastin so far but that's all. We have recently had three testers match (Ferguson's). My ancestor Andrew J Ferguson came to Hancock co, Tn from Wilkes co NC about 1830. Another match was Moses who left Wilkes co about 1840 and settled in Bledsoe co, Tn. Third match was from a family that settled in Madison co Ill, descended from a John L. Ferguson. Maybe from Halifax co, Va.
