basically Absalom Caldwell: root in the US is John and Margaret Phillips Caldwell. While I know for sure the Churches, Israels and Wheelers were in Wilkes County, there is supposition that the Caldwells were too. I've just started trying to figure out who -- I mean, there is a county named for them.
