Mary Ann, Thank you so, so much for responding about my Coleman Ferguson. I'll take any little, tiny tidbit I can get. I know he didn't just fall out of sky in Wilkes Co. and marry a prominent citizen's daughter without being connected to somebody there. The Proffitt and Ferguson researchers have always said they know nothing about any connection....the Rousseau's, too. It's interesting about the spelling of the one's marrying the Dula ladies because there were some Dula's in the area of GA where Coleman shows up in 1825. Now, I guess I need to check on the lineage/research of William and Thomas Forguson. Do you happen to know anyone who has their lineage or has done their lines?
