Sandra and Nita, I don't know if this helps or not, but here goes. Hawkins co, Tn was a favorite place for Wilkes co people to migrate to. There were families there early on by the name of Coleman, Stubblefield, and McDaniel. My father's name was 'Bob White' and a lawyer by the name of Coleman gave him a quarter if he would change it to 'Robert Coleman'. He did His name was Robert Coleman Long. My father had an uncle named Richard Stubblefield Long, and there were McDaniel's there also. So I would think that these families knew each other or migrated together.
