As most of you Ferguson researchers know I have been working to put all these Ferguson's in their place!! Ha Ha. I have Jeremiah Ferguson that is unattached to anybody. The NC State census has a Jeremiah and a Jeremiah Jr listed in Wilkes co. In 1790 only what appears to be Jeremiah Jr is listed. The 1800 has Jeremish Jr listed as being age 26/45. after 1800 there is not more Jeremiah. Another of the problems that I have is the marriage between Jeremiah and Frances Triplett. On all charts on the web and Wilkes Heritage books, and Hortense Abbotts book, and the will of John Ferguson seems to show that John Ferguson married Frances Triplett, and not Jeremiah. Was he John Jeremiah Ferguson? Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I did not find a marriage record for John Ferguson. Margaret Mabrey margiesan@charter.net

Margaret: I looked on Heritage Quest and found these Ferguson's in Wilkes Co NC in 1790: Jas. F. and 1800 and 1820 not in 1810 Jeremiah and 1800 no later Jno and 1800 no 1810 then again in 1820 Jos and 1800 not later Nicholas not later Richard and 1800 not in 1810 then again 1820 Thomas and 1820 William and 1820 There were no Ferguson's listed on the 1810 (strange) All the 1790 were in the Morgan Dist.
