I have found him on a few deed and tax lists in Wilkes Co, NC and on 1790 census (there are actually 2 different Baker Kings listed). This is my 5th gr grandfather who ended up moving to TN and then to Franklin Co., Illinois in 1813. Really searching for more info on his NC/TN family. Baker had son, William King, b. abt. 1777.
