He was born in Wilkes County on April 1, 1938, to Roy and Ruth Miller Reep. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 30 years of service and was a lifetime member of the American Legion of Mt. Airy, Disabled Veterans (D.A.V.) of Mount Airy and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Reep is survived by his wife Ruby Cox Reep of the home, one son, William Derek Reep and fianc?e Diane Barker of North Wilkesboro, special aunts, Joyce Caudle of Elkin; Grace Dancy of North Wilkesboro, Special Uncle Clate and Nancy Miller of North Wilkesboro, one step daughter, Suzan and Mike Key of Mt. Airy, two step grandchildren Elizabeth and Heidi Hutchens of Pinnacle, two step great- grandchildren, Chloe and Keira Hutchens, one sister and brother in-law Dreama and Leo Murphy of Folsom, LA, Several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his Parents and one brother, Kenneth Miller. The family will receive friends at Cox- Needham funeral home on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at the V.A. Cemetery in Salisbury with Rev. Todd Byrd conducting the service with full military honors. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to D.A.V. 131 West Lebanon Street, Mt. Airy, NC. 27030, or to: Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy NC. 27030.
