Thanks so much Krys for the update on this line. Poor Cynthia seems to have been on her own most of her life. If Joel is not found in the 1830 census, then she was only married to him for approximately 10 years, as I have a date of about 1820 for their marriage. You mentioned 2 females ages 10-15 with Synthia in the 1830 census. I have always wondered if she had any children. But we don't know if these are hers. Do you have any spouses for the rest of Joel's siblings besides Richard's? This line has always been rather elusive for me. I have had much better luck with my research on the Kendall, Ferguson, Hagler, Van Hoosen, Foster, Triplett, and Garnett families. I have done research on the Waters family, my ancestor being Moses Waters, but I can't find out about his wife, other than her last name was Keys. I even checked the DAR records since he was at the Battle of Kings Mountain. They just list Keys. Also the Brown and Walsh families. My Grandmother, Minerva Josephine Kendall's sister, Amelia Ann Kendall married first James Harrison Brown and they lived on the Richard Ferguson farm in Wilkes taking care of all of the unmarried children of Richard Ferguson and Verlinda Triplett. Sort of an old folks home. Amelia had 3 children by Harrison. Second, she married Andrew Walsh and had three maybe four children. But the Walsh family is giving me some of the same trouble the Paisleys have. I do appreciate all your help. You have shed new light on these folks. I will now do further research on them.
