Thanks Krys. That fills in lots of blanks. I really appreciate it. I only have the Hawkins line back to Joshua. I descend from the Paisleys. Cynthia Paisley married Joel Hawkins. Cynthia was the sister of my Great Great Gandmother, Margaret Paisley who married Thomas Kendall. Cynthia Paisley Hawkins is buried in our Kendall Family Cemetery on Kendall Mountain in Wilkes County. She has a tombstone there and was always a mystery to me. There are 4 tombstones and all the rest are graves marked by stones. Besides Cynthia's tombstone there is one for Margaret Paisley Kendall and one for Thomas Kendall. There is also a Civil War Tombstone for my Great Grandfather Larkin Kendall. Margaret and Thomas Kendall's son, Larkin Kendall, married Leah Waters, whose Father and Mother were Joel Waters and Elizabeth Ferguson. Larkin and Leah had my grandmother, Minerva Josephine Kendall who married Patrick McShane from Kilcar, County Donegal, Ireland. For years I had tried to find information on Cynthia and Joel.
