This George Hite confuses me because I can't place him. I descend from Joist Hite of Winchester, Va., through his son, Col. Jacob Hite and his wife, Frances Madison. Jacob and Frances were killed by the Cherokee in S.C. in 1776. I have reviewed all of my extensive Hite records and this George is an enigma.
