Do not know who his parents were. James married Margaret Penington in Ashe Co in 1847. Have clues that he was the cousin of a Nancy Dornbush Mitchell. Wonder if he is related to a Jonathan Smith who married a Candacea Penington? Would like to hear what you know about the NC Lunsfords. Also, interested to see if anyone knows anything about an Elisha Lunsford of Carter/Johnson Co, TN in the early to mid 1800s. Look forward to hearing from you all. Melissa.
