    3. Kathy, I just spoke with my cousin and she told me that Mr. Neil will do more than cemetery. She said he got antother cousin of mine some other records. If you could email me directly with his info. Maybe he knows where I can find copies of those marriages. They might be on microfilm at the library. Thanks Jodi --- kathy bailey <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi; > > I was told that alot of records were burned > because there was not enough space to store every > thing, and the records that are in Wilkes co now, > came from Raleigh NC Archives , , also , a George > Neil has done most of the Cemeteries in Wilkes , > you can get the listing by names of the Family or > the name of the church cemetery , you can double > check that way also, Mr. Neil and his deceased > wife did a wonderful job, if you need his phone > number , I have it , he charges a small fee for the > info, Katherine Bailey in SC > Jodi Friedman <[email protected]> wrote: > The Wilkes Register of deeds told me they have a > book > that has witnesses and bondman for the older > marriages. 3. Hi, just to clarify, his name is George McNeil rather than George Neil. He lives in Wilkesboro, just South of the Millers Creek area. He does not use e-mail, so written correspondence is the best way to reach him. He is one of my third cousins!
