I saw your mention of the Poe surname in Wilkes County and am wondering if you have any information about a Matthias Poe who marries Sarah Grimsley in Wilkes County in 1807. They were the parents of several children with at least some of them born in Wilkes County. Matthias died in 1852 in Ashe County.
