Major Indian paths and towns: http://ncnatural.com/maps/pathsandtowns.jpg The Moravians bought land at Moravian Falls but never established a community there. They went to present day Winston-Salem instead. See: http://www.moravianarchives.org/history/congregations/southernprov.html There have always been lots of arrowheads and other artifacts found along the creek that runs beside Hwy. 16 between Moravian Falls and Taylorsville, so there were probably Indian settlements there. According to my father who was born in 1914, when he was young there was lots of pottery and other artifacts found in the area to the left of Lithia Springs Road just before it meets Brushy Mountain Road.
