Author: tooney58 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.northcarolina.counties.wilkes/7375.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: This is brilliant. You've helped confirm what information I already had. I do have one change however. This is from the 1860 Census and Wilkes Co Marriages 1778-1868. Malinda Beshears married Joseph Waters, 22 Aug 1856. They had two daughters. Mary E and Alia C who I believe is my great-grandmother. I believe Joseph died in the Civil War. I received an email from another Griffey descendant yesterday and was told that Larkin and Malinda had adopted a James Owens. This child is listed staying with the Griffeys in the 1880 Census as being a 4 yr old cousin. Thank you so much for your help. L. Soderberg Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
