    1. Doubl Creek school
    2. Ed Morrah
    3. Was delighted to see Jeanie Stouts notice of the school picture. my mother, Ruth Joines, was listed as one of the children. The old school was located at the Absher community as described. Her home place encompassed the crossroad and her father Hardin Joines had a large general store there. A "new" school is still there and now serves as a community center. It is adjacent to her "home place" that is still in the family. I hope to get a copy of the Journal Patriot issue and would like to knew if any one else has photos or other information relating to the school, or to the old "Original" Double Creek Primitive Baptist Church that adjoins the school property. The old church mentioned was the predecessor of the current and active Double Creek Baptist Church thatb is nearby on Longbottom Rd. Many thanks Jeanie Ed morrah

    1. Ceroles Creek ?
    2. jeanie stout
    3. Can some one please help me find some thing out? I am reading a book that tells about a creek in Wilkes Co in 1812 Ceroles Creek It must be in the Reddies River / Lewis Fork or Purlear area? Does any one know about this creek and its were abouts? Or does any one know some one who might know? I have looked at maps on the web on the Wilkes Genealogy site but the wording is so small and blurry I can not make out the creek names. The oldest large map I have found is from 1918 and it does not have this creek on it. I wonder what the name Ceroles means that might help?
