As for the relationship of Meredith to John and Sarah(Boone) Wilcoxon a lot of people will disagree with me, but according to my research this is what I believe, Meredith, my ggg grandfather, is son of Daniel and Fanny, son of William and Nancy (Sparks) of Wilkes Co., NC (not Rowan Co). I believe this William is the son of Isaac and Martha(Bane)Willcockson. Most information on this Wm. states he is the son of John and Sarah, but I totally disagree. If you search this Wm., you will find him in Wilkes Co while John's son Wm is in Rowan Co. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Thanks for sharing that with the board/list. I grew up in Lenoir, which is in Western NC for those of you who aren't familiar with NC. My grandparents and all of their generation knew about Tom, Laura, and Ann. I wonder if the truth will ever be known. I did find something in my genealogy research that told of Ann's father having confided in his best friend that Ann had killed Laura. Her father was up in years, and he told this friend that he didn't want to take that secret to his grave. I sure wish I could find that again!! I feel pretty certain that this is the same George & Mary Lorraine. I don't have any children listed for them so maybe they were childless. There was other people usually listed in their HH on census but none as son or daughter. Maybe Mary was a niece or something..
