I believe that the parents of Elizabeth Kilby were William Kilby Jr (1782-1816) & Elizabeth Hubbard both from Wilkes County. They had 5 children that I have info on if you were interested. The Father of William Kilby Jr is William Kilby Sr who married Frances 'Fanny' Eddings. I am also stuck on the parents of Jason. My research tells me that it's a David Laws Jr, son of Davis Laws Sr, son of John Laws but I cannot confirm any of that. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. You've helped confirm what information I already had. I do have one change however. This is from the 1860 Census and Wilkes Co Marriages 1778-1868. Malinda Beshears married Joseph Waters, 22 Aug 1856. They had two daughters. Mary E and Alia C who I believe is my great-grandmother. I believe Joseph died in the Civil War. I received an email from another Griffey descendant yesterday and was told that Larkin and Malinda had adopted a James Owens. This child is listed staying with the Griffeys in the 1880 Census as being a 4 yr old cousin. Thank you so much for your help. L.
