    1. RE: How to turn $6 into .............

    3. Dear List Mom, I'm not complaining; I'm laughing. It's world wide. Look how quickly we'd become the owners of foreign coinage. What would the bank say when we turned up with thousands of dollars in one dollar bills for deposit? Would we be investigated for counterfienting? Pay for a couple or three baskets of groceries at the grocery store? What would their reaction be? Their cash drawers aren't made to hold that many one dollar bills. What about the IRS? They always want more than their fair share of everything and I'm sure they'd want a cut out of this. If we have only $6 and six stamps invested, what are we going to have to write off as business expenses when it comes 15th of April. After all, we're in a legitimate business and as such we will be expected to pay taxes on our profits. Oh, and if I wanted to go down to one of the fancy car dealers, wanted to pay cash for the most expensive vehicle on the lot......how long would it take to count out the one dollar bills to pay for my purchase? Personally, I don't want my name circulated in such a fashion; neither do I want the people to know where I live. What if someone I personally know ran across the speal, called me, laughed in my face about falling for the scam. Don't worry, List Mom. I won't complain. All I want is information about Richard Martin who died in your county in 1786. He left a wife Franky and seven children from two marriages. Well documented to a point. Did he or did he not serve during the Rev. War? Will furnish additional details for anyone who is interested in doing a little research for me in Wayne Co. Worth an investment of $6 and 6 stamps? You bet but the guy forgot to include the cost of the envelopes, the sheetz of paper be they white or dark, plus the awful taste for having licked the envelops to seal them. mbm
